This engagement shoot was inspired by Love… and all the little things that make love fit into a love story. Marlie & MD wanted the type of engagement shoot that will reflect them as a couple, the crazy silly in between in love moments that they share with each other…Heading out late Sunday afternoon, we met up with this bubbling couple, playful and so romantic with each other. I am sure the photos will be evident of this!
The Love story of our engaged couple:
“We don’t meet people by accident. They are meant to cross our path for a reason”.
Whilst looking for a place to stay in my final year of University, I never thought that the flat I got would also include the love of my life where I met MD for the first time in 2011.
They say that good things take time, but great things happen in a blink of an eye.
That is so true, when I think back at our first coffee date, where we sat outside the coffee shop and chatted for hours, and when the shop was ready to close, we realized that “greater things are yet to come”.
On Valentine’s Day in 2013 MD surprised me with roses and a romantic dinner. During dinner MD asked me… no not the big question… he simply asked: If there is somewhere in the world you would love to go where would that be? Without any hesitation I always wanted to go to Switzerland, and that was my immediate reply. After dating for 10 months, we got engaged in beautiful Switzerland, surrounded by summer snow, blue skies and the Matterhorn in the background! We both love the outdoors and activities, preparing and enjoying exotic dishes, spending as much time in the water and beach as possible during holidays.
We are looking forward to your beautiful wedding day, where you guys will exchange vows at Green Leaves Country Lodge just outside Hartebeespoortdam later this year… 18 April is just around the corner…
Rianka & Floris.
